3 Benefits To Businesses
Organic search results are changing drastically since Google Search has begun implementation of AI functions. This is the first article about the new results.
Google's new organic search results using AI are termed Search Generative Experience (SGE)
Those organic results are ALWAYS displayed at the top of the search engine results pages (SERPs).
It becoming obvious, on searches completed with Google Search and on a tablet or phone, that the AI functions integrated into Google Search are automating the process of narrowing down results to match the specific scope of search question(s) made by users.
People have said for years that Google Search done with voice will over take typing on a keyboard. Today, it's apparent that voice search results are integrated into this new AI search function, which means doing search questions with voice or typing produces the same result.
Three key benefits to local business
1.) Reward: being displayed in SGE takes content development - building domain authority - which takes time.
2.) Exposure: the SGE results are at top of the page organically, not as an advertisement on mobile devices. Those device show increasing search use by more and more users.
3.) Qualitative: traditional search you input 3 or 4 words: electrician for home repair, it's now possible to write/speak a detailed request such as who are quality home electricians in my area? and receive a specific answer in matching that scope.
Not all websites qualify to be shown in SGE. In fact, a small percentage - maybe just a few depending on scope of search question - will be displayed in SGE results.
It's important to take into consideration, SGE doesn't use advertising so all results are organic - a product of the individual business website content. Below are the four local business searches included in this article.
